Dear PHH, There is a very special person in Port Orchard who loves horse but is in a wheelchair and can no longer ride, due to a disease that has weakened her body. She is now 9 and loves horses. I want to send a monthly donation in her honor, to alert our friends in the community that there are very wonderful children with disabilities who are passionate about animals, and that part of their will to live is that they can experience the love of their pets and animals in the community. Michaella has donated all of her 9th birthday gifts to animal welfare. She is a poster child for the MAKE A WISH Foundation and the Pacific NW Ballet. I hope that she can visit PHH. Her parents give her every opportunity to experience the life that other children can live. She does not see herself as disabled and participates in regular education as a highly achieving student.
Linda, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story! Michaella would be welcome at our barn anytime. Feel free to contact us directly as the blog is not checked as often: info@peoplehelpinghorses.org
